The Clausius equation of state is given by

[p+aT(v+c)2](v−b)=RT

where

a=27R2Tc264Pc
b=vc−RTc4Pc

and

c=3RTc8Pc−vc

where p is the pressure, T is the temperature, v is the volume per mol, and R is the molar gas constant. Tc is the critical temperature and Pc is the pressure at the critical point, and <math> v_c <math> is the critical volume per mol.
