This is a note to myself: the Square well spherocylinder model may well have been proposed by W. J. A. Gossens in the paper W. J. A. Gossens "A Molecular Theory of the Cholesteric Phase and of the Twisting Power of Optically Active Molecules in a Nematic Liqud Crystal", Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals 12 pp. 237-244 (1971), but I do not have access to this publication to check this. -- Carl McBride (talk) 14:35, 28 September 2009 (CEST)
