The Widom line[1] (not to be confused with the Fisher-Widom line) is defined as the line in the pressure-temperature plane where the correlation length has its maximum [2] , and emanates from the hypothesized liquid–liquid critical point of water . It was named the Widom line by H. Eugene Stanley[3] in honour of Benjamin Widom. Recently the Widom line has been calculated for the Lennard-Jones model[4].
