ACORN is still alive in 2019, and performing well.

... should include links to

1.Wikipedia page ACORN PRNG

and

2.to ACORN web site http://acorn.wikramaratna.org

I am glad to hear it. If you are an expert on this generator, please feel free to add as much material as you deem appropriate. All the best, -- Carl McBride (talk) 09:40, 8 May 2019 (CEST)

I added the web site to ACG page, and added a clarification to your 'Random Numbers' page based on your 2007 statement that ACG is the same as ACORN

However there is an important question ! is ACG equivalent to ACORN ? Are you sure ? If these are in fact two different PRNGs then we would need a separate ACORN page, and a new line in 'random numbers'

This is a good question that should be looked into. I think the best thing to do is to start a new page dedicated to ACORN, and if ACG is indeed equivalent to ACORN, then the existing ACG page can be very easily converted into a redirect page to ACORN. done; created ACORN, mentioned not to be confused

The actual history of this confusion should also bbe looked into. I mention this for future work (not me)

The source of the confusion is certainly mine; I am not by any means an expert in RNGs, I just use them in Monte Carlo calculations. I shall take care of sorting out, or potentially 'removing' (redirecting) this ACG page. With respect to the ACORN page, please feel free to add as much material as you see fit: pseudocode, code, performance metrics, etc. etc. All the best, -- Carl McBride (talk) 09:20, 24 May 2019 (CEST)
